Bitbucket Cloud repo scanning for API & AI discovery

This integration allows you to scan your Bitbucket Cloud repositories for OpenAPI specifications, AI models, and prompts by connecting FireTail to your Bitbucket Cloud account. It also supports generating OpenAPI specifications through static code analysis for selected programming languages.

  1. In the side menu, go to Platform, then select Integrations.
  2. Click Create Integration. Filter by selecting the Discovery category.
  3. Select Bitbucket Cloud Repo Scanning.
  4. Complete the integration form fields:
    • Name of Integration: Enter a descriptive name for this integration.
    • Enabled: Toggle to enable or disable the integration.
    • Projects: Choose an existing project or click Create to group discovered APIs under a new one. - Enable AI Features:Enable this feature to generate more detailed and well-defined OpenAPI specifications.
    • Enable AI Feature: Enable this feature to generate more detailed OpenAPI specifications. Note: You will need to agree to the terms and conditions.
    • Scan Frequency: Set how often repositories should be scanned. Minimum scan interval is 24 hours.
  5. Click Authenticate with Bitbucket.
  6. A new window will open. Log in to Bitbucket (if required).

Once authenticated, the integration will be setup and begin scanning based on the configured frequency.

Reauthenticate the Integration

If you need to update the permissions granted to FireTail (e.g., after changing repository access settings), you can reauthenticate the integration:Go to the Existing Integrations tab. Locate the Bitbucket integration you previously set up. Click the integration, then click Reauthenticate with Bitbucket. Complete the authorization flow to refresh access and permissions.

View discovered resources

The discovered APIs can be viewed by going to API in the side menu and selecting Inventory. The discovered AI resources can be viewed by going to API in the side menu and selecting Inventory.
