Why do I need an organization?

Everything in the FireTail platform is scoped to an organization. An organization is the workspace where you add members and set up the Projects, Integrations and Alerts for your team.

Organizations are provisioned by the FireTail team. When you set up an account, reach out to your account manager or FireTail support to have an organization created for you, or ask an existing Organization Admin to invite you to theirs.

If you have different departments with separate projects, you may need multiple organizations on the platform. Each organization is independent, with no shared resources. For instance, when a member is added, they are added only to that specific organization. If they need access to another organization, they must be added separately.
