Set up an Elastic Cloud integration

Integrating FireTail with Elastic Cloud enables you to index findings to an Elasic Cloud instance. After setting up the integration, you can select it as the notification method for any resource policy.

Before you begin, make sure you have an Elastic Cloud instance where data will be sent. You can either create a new instance or use an existing one. For instructions on how to create an instance, visit the Elastic documentation.

When the instance is created, you can set up the integration:

  1. In the side menu, navigate to Platform and select Integrations.
  2. Click Create Integration and filter by the Notifications category.
  3. Choose Elastic Cloud from the available options.
  4. Enter a descriptive name for your integration in the Name of Integration field.
  5. Copy your Elasticsearch Endpoint URL and paste it into the designated field.
  6. Provide the API Key to be used in the request headers for authentication.
  7. Specify the Index Name where data will be posted.
  8. Click Submit.

The integration is created and listed under the existing integrations tab You can now select this integration as a notification method when you create a resource policy.
